About the 60s radio dial
The Radio Dial is a free 60s radio station that runs in your browser.
It has eight stations, one for each genre on the site: British Invasion, Motown, Soul & R&B, Folk Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Garage & Surf Rock, Country, Pop & Brill Building, and Jazz & Easy Listening.
Together they hold more than 430 tracks, and every one was checked for playback before it went on the dial.
How it works
- Press Tune In once, because browsers need a click before they allow audio.
- Pick a station and it plays track after track on its own.
- Skip jumps to the next song on the station that is playing.
- Select opens the station's track list so you can search for a specific song.
- Volume is one slider shared by every station.
The player stays on screen the whole time, so you can watch the video as well as hear it.
Listen by year
Each year guide has a "Play" link that opens the dial filtered to that year, for example 1965 on the dial.
Start from the 1960s year-by-year hub to pick one.
