One original data page a month, built from the song dataset behind this site.
Each page states which songs are counted, which fields are used and what the numbers cannot tell you.
How These Pages Work
Every number comes from our dataset, a curated set of 1960s songs, not from a full census of the decade.
Where our selection is uneven by year or genre, the page says so instead of reading the gap as music history.
For the history itself, start with the year-by-year guides and the best 60s songs list.
